(#28) CHUTNEY: Goat's Milk & Mango Chutney Ice Cream


Much like our Coconut Curry Ice Cream, this was quite the experiment.   

The textures and flavors of mango chutney and goat cheese work so well together--we had to give it a shot as an ice cream. 


Scoopsies' Goat's Milk & Chutney Ice Cream
yields about 1 quart
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups whole milk
2 large egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
8 ounces goat milk chevre, crumbled
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup of chutney (we used mango chutney)
pinch of salt

  1. Looks lovely! I love goat cheese with sweet things, so I'm sure goat milk would be very similar, and a great base with the chunks of goat cheese. This would be a great palate cleanser for a big Indian meal spread. Great job, ladies!
