Scoopsies celebrated Valentine's Day by churning our second flavor: red velvet ice cream.
1½ cups heavy cream
¾ cup and 3 tbsp. sugar
1½ tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
6 large egg yolks
1¼ cups buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
natural food coloring (beets are perfect for this!)
VELVET SWIRL
4 oz. cream cheese, room temp.
2½ tbsp. unsalted butter, room temp.
1¼ cups confectioners sugar, sifted
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
2 tbsp. heavy cream
