Our story starts several years back, when we (Sarah Hayes and Chloe Jankowitz) were scoopin’ our way through life at a cozy ice cream shop on Newbury Street. Years later, our love of the frozen treat was still with us, and we were itching to return to the field.
Some time in 2011, we came to find that we shared the same sweet dream: opening up our own ice cream shop in Boston. Of course no one can become an ice cream guru overnight, so we came up with a project that will help us experiment--a lot!
We are in the early learning stages and have a lot to learn! We have devoted ourselves to make batch after batch until we have a product the public demands! To help us learn our trade and keep us churning, we have committed to the ultimate ice cream challenge. On February 9, 2013, we launched "100 Scoopsies."
We have ONE YEAR to churn 100 FLAVORS, and we're blogging about it every scoop of the way.
Every 20 flavors we will host an ice cream social where we will share our best flavors from that quarter with friends, local ice cream makers, fellow food bloggers, and aficionados.
Follow us as we make and perfect our original flavors and eventually launch our own brand of ice cream.
